About Biz Buyer Central

So, as you can see from this picture and if you read some of our articles that we kind of like donuts here at Biz Buyer Central.  The only thing we like more than donuts is helping people buy businesses.

Like many of you, I was working at a job that was OK, but not that interesting and I wanted to do something else.  I switched jobs a few times but could never find something I was passionate about.

I knew there was something else I should be doing.  So, I quit my job and bought a nightclub.  That was the beginning of my buying, owning, and selling businesses.

We at Biz Buyer Central are dedicated to helping people learn how to find, evaluate, and buy businesses and control their future.  

We feel that if you really want to change your life and control your destiny, buying a business is the way to go.  We don’t think everyone should be a business owner, but for the people who do want to, we are here to help.

Our goal is to teach you as much as we can about buying a company.  But most importantly, we want to share the mistakes and problems we have come across so you know what to do, and what not to do.  Learn from our experience to make buying a business much smoother.

We have written a bunch of articles on many topics that may come up as you try to buy a business.  We have organized the information into four major categories based on where you are in the buying process:

  1. Getting Started:  These are all the things you need to know when you first start thinking about buying a business
  2. Finding and Analyzing:  Tips and tricks for finding companies that are right for you and analyzing their performance
  3. Offers and Financing:  Guiding you through the process of coming up with an offer price, negotiating, and presenting an offer to the business seller.
  4. Closing and Taking Over:  What happens at the business sale closing and tips and suggestions on what to do when you take over the business

We touch on a bunch of other topics along the way like the words and terms used in a deal, the paperwork that is used, our opinion on business opportunities, as well as whatever we can think of.
